Have you ever noticed how a short walk in a park can change your mood? In busy cities, green spaces are more than just places with trees. They can give people room to move, relax and spend time together.Research suggests that spending time in nature is associated with better health and wellbeing. Parks can also make physical activity easier by offering safe, welcoming places to walk, run or exercise. For some people, they are a chance to meet neighbours and feel more connected to their community.I find this interesting as a physiotherapy student because staying healthy is not only about what happens in a clinic or gym. Our surroundings can influence how active we are in everyday life.Of course, a park alone cannot solve every health problem. Safety, accessibility and maintenance matter too. A beautiful green space is less useful if people cannot reach it or feel comfortable there.Maybe improving public health sometimes starts with something simple: making our neighbourhoods greener and easier to enjoy
