A green light for migraine relief?

Imagine battling migraines for years, only to learn that green light might help. A University of Arizona study found that daily exposure to gentle green light can reduce migraine days and pain by up to 60%.

In 29 patients, chronic migraine days dropped from 22 to 9, and episodic cases from 8 to 2, with milder pain overall. The exact mechanism isn’t fully known, but green light seems to calm the brain’s pain pathways.

Participants simply relaxed in a dark room for an hour a day with green LED light—reading or resting.

It’s early research, but this therapy is safe, inexpensive, and promising. Green might just become the new go-to for migraine relief.
