A new app called TEAppAutism is helping families, educators, and healthcare professionals better support people on the autism spectrum. Developed in Spain, it offers short videos in Spanish and Catalan on living with autism at home, in school, and in the workplace. The content focuses on clear communication, sensory challenges, and practical strategies, with examples drawn from real-life situations.
Created through co-design with families and clinicians, the app reflects real needs rather than theory. A pilot study showed it was easy to use in clinical practice, and while its short videos can’t capture the full diversity of autism, they provide accessible guidance for those new to the topic. By bridging communication gaps and encouraging empathy, TEAppAutism aims to make daily life more inclusive for people with autism across healthcare, education, and society.
